Corporate Social Responsibility is an integral part of CBC Culture. Through different projects we hope to contribute to the community, but our main focus is to help millions of Underprivileged children in Bangladesh. CBC has always been active in social responsibility projects since the beginning.

CSR Activity in Art & Culture- Conference /Debate- 20.11.2012
CBC donated to Alliance Francaise (French Cultural Wing) Tk. 200,000 in its initiative in a Conference/ Debate and Concert that were held under the arrangement of Dhaka University for this purpose. The Vice Chancellor of DU was present. The donation was made as a part of the Bank’s CSR initiatives under Art & Cultural sector.

| Country Manager of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC Mr. S. Prabagar handed over a cheque on 07.12.2011 to Rev. Father Benjamin Costa, Principal, Notre Dame College towards establishment of a scholarship fund for the poorest and meritorious students of the esteemed institution. CBC has undertaken to continue a two year program of financial assistance in support of developing the educational skills of 30 meritorious students of Notre Dame College. Under this scheme, every student will get a financial aid of BDT 27,500 per annum during the two years of their college education. Other senior officials of the bank were also present in the program. |

Commercial Bank of Ceylon (CBC) attended the program conducted by Bankers' Forum namely "CSR Awards 2008-2009 & Winter Clothes distribution" where CBC donates 500 winter clothes among the intellectually challenged children recently as a part of its CSR activity. This program was held on December 11 at 'CIRDAP Auditorium' at Topkhana Road, Dhaka.
Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed the ex-governor of Bangladesh Bank attended the program as the chief guest and handed over the corporate award to Mr. Dilip Das Gupta, Senior General Manager of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC for Bank’s participation in CSR activity 2008-2009. Other prominent personnel of the society were also present as guests of honour. Cost of this CSR was 150,000/-

Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC (CBC) donated 5 Computers to Khilgaon Govt. Colony High School for the students' Practical Classes. Earlier, school had only 3 computers provided by the Government. The school has around 700 students. For smooth learning of computer science CBC took this initiatives. Dilan Rajapakse-COO, Mr. Mahmood Rashid-AGM along with other member of CBC handed over the Computers to the School Authority on 29th July’10. Cost of this CSR activity was 75,000/-.
