 Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, Bangladesh has arranged a Training Workshop on “Promoting Gender Equality and Preventing Violence against Women at Workplace” at its Head Office in Dhaka on 08.12.12. A Total of 30 Participants from different Departments and Branches of the Bank attended the training program. The Workshop was jointly organized by Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC and Bangladesh Employers' Federation (BEF) in collaboration with International Labor Organization (ILO), Dhaka. |

Commercial Bank of Ceylon (CBC) has organized “CBC Family Dinner & Musical Soiree” for its staff and their families on 12th June 2009 at Dhaka Sheraton Hotel. The entire credit in organizing such a grand event totally goes to the Combank Sports & Recreation Club. The Program was concluded with a raffle draw amongst the staff members with a grand musical show. The Combank Sports & Recreation Club has been instrumental in organizing many successful programs such as sports events, picnic, social activities, etc since 2007, which has helped to increase the bonding among the staff and their families. |

CBC launched “TradeCom”, 2nd SME product:
 CBC introduced its second SME product TradeCom at its Dhanmondi branch on 20th March 2008.
Mr. S. Renganathan CEO of the bank launched the product by handing over the first L/C copy to the customer while Mr. Golam Mortuza, DGM of the bank provided a detailed account of the features of the product. Senior officials of the bank, staffs and customers were present on the occasion.
The launch of this product reiterates the commitments of the CBC to the SME sector, which is the second SME product of the bank after the probriddhi loan.
TradeCom comes with very attractive features with regard to margin requirements, loan facilities, loan charges and quick delivery of services.
CBC’s Sonargaon Booth Shifted at Royal Tower
Commercial Bank of Ceylon (CBC) relocated its Sonargaon Booth at 4, Panthapath, Royal Tower (1st Floor) on 11th May 2008.
The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka His Excellency V. Krishnamoorthy was present as the chief guest and formally opened the Booth by cutting the ribbon. The Country Manager Mr. S. Renganathan was present and delivered valuable insights into the bank’s operations and future plans in Bangladesh in his address. Members of Management, customers and staff of the bank were also present on the occasion.
