The Commercial Bank of Ceylon was recently presented the award for ‘Sri Lanka’s Best Bank in 2019’ by the USA-based Global Finance magazine at the 26th Annual Best Bank Awards Ceremony held at the National Press Club in Washington, DC on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the IMF and World Bank.The Bank’s Chairman Mr Dharma Dheerasinghe and Managing Director and CEO Mr S. Renganathan received the award on behalf of the Bank. 

The awards recognise banks that attended carefully to their customers’ needs in difficult markets and accomplished better results while laying the foundations for future success.The winners that received awards represented markets across Africa, Asia-Pacific, Central & Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, North America and Western Europe. This was the 19th time that Commercial Bank won this accolade from Global Finance.
