Tap-to-pay convenience allows you to make fast, contactless payments by simply holding your phone near an NFC-enabled POS terminal.

Seamless digital onboarding lets you add your ComBank Visa Card to Google Wallet within seconds through a simple OTP-based verification process.

Advanced security and tokenization ensure that your actual card number is never shared with merchants, as transactions are processed using a secure digital token.

With global acceptance, you can pay anywhere in Sri Lanka or overseas at merchants that support NFC contactless payments.

Google Pay enables secure online payments at participating e-commerce websites and mobile apps without manually entering card details, making checkout faster, safer, and seamless.

Offline payments are also supported, allowing you to make contactless in-store transactions even without an internet connection once the card is added and the device is unlocked.

Eligibility

Must hold an active ComBank Visa Debit or Credit Card issued to the cardholder
Android smartphone requirements:
-Android version 7.0 or above
-NFC-enabled
-Device must not be rooted or running a custom operating system
A mobile number or email address must be registered with the Bank for OTP verification

Procedure to Apply and Use

How to Add your Card

Ensure your ComBank Visa card is active.
Install or open the Google Wallet app on your Android phone.
Select “Add to Wallet” → “Payment Card”.
Scan your card or enter card details manually.
Choose OTP delivery via registered mobile number or email.
Enter the OTP to authenticate.
Once verified, your card is ready for tap-to-pay.

How to Use

Unlock your phone (NFC should be turned on)
Hold it near an NFC-enabled POS terminal
Payment is completed within seconds

Terms and conditions

Only ComBank issued Visa cards are currently supported.
Standard card transaction fees, interest and limits continue to apply.
Some transactions may require PIN entry based on regulatory or merchant requirements.
ComBank reserves the right to modify, suspend or withdraw the service in line with regulatory guidelines.
Google Pay, Google Wallet and related trademarks belong to Google LLC.
In case of phone loss, customers must immediately inform ComBank and use Google’s Find My Device feature to secure the device.
