Purposes

You could obtain a Loan for a variety of purposes,

• Renovations of your house.
• Travelling abroad.
• Surgical and medical expenses of family members.
• Wedding expenses of children.
• Educational expenses of children.
• Settle existing loan/credit cards from other Banks.
• Any other purpose acceptable to the Bank.

Eligibility

If you are a Government Pensioner or widow/widower who receives your spouse's pension through Pensions Department, CEB or Central Bank of Sri Lanka, you can apply for this loan scheme.

Your age need to be below 74 years of age and the loan should be paid in full 01 month before you reach your 75th Birthday. (For joint application both you & your other parties need to meet this requirement).

Joint income could be considered if the spouse is also a government pensioner.

Your monthly pension should be remitted to your Commercial Bank account.

The minimum net pension should be Rs. 25,000/- per month.

Loan amount

Maximum loan amount Rs 5,000,000/.

Minimum Loan amount Rs 100,000/-.

Repayment

You can choose up to maximum of 10 years, subject to full settlement of the loan 01 month prior to reaching 75 years of age.

Documents required

1. Loan application.
2. Copy of National Identity Card / Valid Passport/ Valid Driving License. 
3. Address verification documents indicating applicant’s name and address (if applicable). More info >>
4. Pensioners' Identity Card.
5. Customer request to remit monthly pension to Commercial Bank (GPL 01).
6. No objection letter from the particular bank where the pension is currently being remitted  (GPL 02).
7. Affidavit prescribed by the Department of Pensions (GPL 03).
8. If required : - Loan O/S outstanding confirmation letter, if obtained a facility from another Bank.
9. Other income verification documents.
